Deja's Family

Sister, Olivia

Olivia turned 3 on Halloween, October 31st, 2006. She has more energy then anyone else in the house right now. She's having a little trouble understanding how sick her sister is. We try to explain that Deja has an ochie in her head. The biggest problem she has had is that she has lost her play partner. Deja gets real moody at times, and doesn't even want anyone near her. Since Deja has finished radiation, she has regained some of her energy, so Olivia is getting some of her "time" back. Because of this, we have decided to keep Olivia enrolled in DayCare. She only goes 2-3 days a week, mostly when Deja and I have doctors appointments. She loves it there and has a great time! We did take her to a few of Deja radiation treatments. She kept asking where Deja was going, so we thought she would understand more if she saw for herself. Deja was glad to have her there. Olivia is really excited about Christmas and the new baby. She has been practicing her "Jingle Bells" song, and almost has it down pat. She says she is going to help with the new baby, and even change her poopy diapers. Lucky Me!

Mommy, Angela

The baby is finally here! Mommy barely made it through delivery. It was very difficult, but worth it! I chose to have an epideral, but my blood pressure dropped once they started it. You guessed it, I had a natural child birth! What an experience! Words cannot explain the pain... I even blacked out several times. The doctor said it was more painful because she was face up. I pushed for two and a half hours. Someone wanted me to remember this one..  :)  Jovonne JoDe Cleveland was born on January 12th, 2007 at 12:33am. She was 6 pounds and 12 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. She was very healthy! Deja made it there for the delivery and even had the honors of cutting the cord. What a memory it will make. Although the nurses were a bit nervous about Deja being in the room, she showed them she was not afraid of anything. She even told the doctor he was in the way and she couldn't see...  She had no problem cutting the cord! It was truely an amazing experience...
